OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM

TerraGlen Residential Care Services is managed by a Board of Directors.

Four senior colleagues support them in this role. They are responsible for the management of the organisation and, ultimately, for the quality of service delivery provided by the teams in each of our houses.

  • Our Director of Disabilities, Aisling Conroy, has full oversight of all aspects of the day-to-day management of TerraGlen Disability Services.
  • Our Operations Manager, Ciara Nicastle, is responsible for operational services and line-manages our Centre Managers. Ciara ensures that all residential centres operate to the highest standard and in compliance with legislation, regulation, national standards and our organisation’s policies and procedures.
  • Aisling and Ciara are responsible for monitoring and auditing our operational services to ensure compliance and promote operational excellence. They manage our central records and liaise with the Centre Managers/Persons in Charge to ensure that all staff records are up to date and of a high standard.

Aisling Conroy BA (Hons) – Director of Disability Services/Person Participating in Management (PPIM): Since completing her Honours Degree in Applied Social Studies in 2009, Aisling has worked in the social care field across a variety of care settings. Aisling started as a Social Care Worker in Mainstream Residential and then in the role of PIC and Area Manager in the disability sector. Aisling has been involved in HIQA Steering groups and the set-up of new services. Aisling also has a degree in Key Management Skills and Quality and Safeguarding of Services, and has implemented and developed new training modules and provided this training to the teams.

Ciara Nicastle BA (Hons), H.Dip – Operations Manager: After completing her undergraduate degree in Social Science in UCD in 2010, Ciara went on to complete her Higher Diploma in Psychotherapy. Ciara has over 15 years’ experience across the social care sector, where she worked in a variety of roles in numerous settings, including working with vulnerable adults and community settings working with families impacted by addiction. Ciara has 11 years’ experience in residential care and was our Hampton Lodge Centre Manager prior to her moving into the Operations Manager role, where she provides support, leadership and guidance to the Centre Managers who report to her.

Each residential centre is led by a Centre Manager and a Deputy Centre Manager. They are responsible for the operation of the centre, their staff team, the premises and the care services we provide.

Each member of the staff team is a qualified and trained social care professional committed to providing quality services to young people in their care.

All our staff are recruited according to our Safe Recruitment policy and procedure to ensure they have the skills, knowledge and aptitude to care for the young people placed in our houses.

TerraGlen commissions the services of independent consultants to support the operation and development of the organisation. The list of these supports are not exhaustive, and include psychotherapists, neuropsychologists and other professionals.

Clinical services are provided by a qualified and experienced psychologist when required. Our significant event review group is overseen by our Director of Services, Operations Manager and our Managing Director to advise on behavioural management strategies.
